The site can't control anything but the client code, how it handles lag/discounts, and the site configuration.
Lag and small disconnects on the Internet is something that happens. There's no such thing as.a perfect, latency free connection. The site has code to forgive some lag, though if you're experiencing higher amounts or getting disconnects, then I that might not help.
