For live chess: choose 'Account' from the drop-down menu under home, then 'Live Chess Settings' and check the box for "Enable sounds".
For online chess: go to any game board you're currently playing on and click on the sound button (next to "Analysis" and "Settings" on the right).

I too have no sounnd ! Ive tried IE, Firefox and still no sound ? I,ve tried enable sounds, F5 and still no sounds ! I have any and all sounds for everything else on my computer ! PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If what I posted above doesn't work then I don't know if I can help you. If I were you I'd contact support (link).
Maybe the live chess sounds is not working or the browser you are using. I'm using Chrome and I have sounds when I play.
same problem, also "balky", "stuttering" mouse pointer, and text cursor keeps disappearing with every move and after every comment, but only on this site, only last few months, and only on this computer, so it must be malware. Almost seems designed to screw up blitz games.

Click on SHARE and then click on CHESS NEWS - and while you're at it click on everything else up there (eventually) you'll be glad you did!

Still doesn't work. Sounds are definitely on, the noise when the match is concluded still plays. There's no sound when pieces move. Enable sounds is 100% on! I've tried changing the sound to every type and it still doesn't work. This is only on PC, my phone is fine.
