I respect that but your argument makes no sense
How
I've basically disproven every counter argument with #65 man these haters can't admit they are wrong
#65:
Here is an example from a random youtube video I made of my game to 2000 elo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAN0po2Yglk&t=488s&ab_channel=Honchkrowabcd
In this game, my position was completely winning. I was up an entire knight, and my opponent had absolutely 0 counterplay. All my pieces were developed and defended well, his rooks weren't like infiltrating, my king was completely safe. I had ample time, 6 minutes in an endgame like that is way more than you would ever need. Literally anyone at 1500+ rating wins the position I was in, 100% of the time, obviously if you are like 1000 or lower it could be a different story but these are the type of games I am talking about. Anyways in this game I would have played on (and my opponent would have too as you can see), but I was explaining my thought process to the audience which caused me to move slow, and the opponent realized he had no counterplay and left the game, he clearly wouldn't have done that if I kept moving instantly as he only did this when I took a while to move. So when people say this is unsportsmanlike, the opponent could still win, good way to lose on time, or "just Checkmate them", as you can see it is completely fair and within the rules to wait like 30 secs on a move especially if you are considering all variations, if ur rating is low then don't do this strat, I had enough time, and if I played on like normal, even though it's a guaranteed win, if my opponent genuinely tried to survive as long as possible it would take like 30-50 more moves to win which is a waste of 5 minutes. So yeah, I hope I addressed all your concerns with this example
I actually did this once in an OTB game when my opponent refused to take a draw in a dead drawn endgame with opposite coloured bishops. Made sure to take a little walk and to spend 2 minutes every time I moved the bishop around.
Oh yeah. So your opponent had unsporting behavior, wasting everyone's time, and you responded by being unsporting and wasting everyone's time. Great idea. I bet the other players and the arbiters were all glad to have you around.
No, they were all heartbroken, and the FIDE Ethics Committee banned us for life. What are you? The morality police? (Just FYI: It was a big Swiss Open with over 100 participants, and no one even noticed.)
I respect that but your argument makes no sense
How
1.I wasn't talking to you
2.This won't happen with every player. If you're doing that in an OTB tournament it will be considered very disrespectful. If you're doing this in online it is "great" for you to create bad habits AND to share them with others
So I've played many rapid games on this website, and throughout my journey I noticed that a lot of the time people will not resign when in completely lost positions for whatever reason. However I have came up with a simple trick you can do against these players that will usually result in them just resigning [...]
If you have a winning position, why not just win it the way a chess game is supposed to be won, i.e. by converting your advantage to an absolutely winning position and checkmating your opponent if necessary? No psychological mambo jambo is necessary.
to save time so I can play more games
you don't.you waste time
bro what, it saves like 5 mins every time it works (Which is like 50% of the time)

More like 5%
And the other 95% you waste at least 3 more minutes. If you do the math, you will find out that I am right
thank you for pulling statistics out of nowhere its really helpful, in reality I use this strat all the time in rapid and it works fine for me

And your 50% is researched or what?
Yeah, sure it works...I bet it will work for everyone

It's not like he did anything wrong though. The game's lenght would depend upon his opponent as well.
He did half of the wrong and the opponent did the other half.
More like 35 percent, and the opponent 65
Fair enough. You are right.
