My opponent would have been checkmated in two moves. There was a message saying there will be auto resign in zero seconds. Nothing happened. For 30 minutes or more, until he ran out of time, he did not make a move. When he ran out of time, I was not credited for a win when I checked Home on the website. I am owed an explanation. Why did this happen?

the last game I played I captured the opponents queen. Then the opponent disconected.
Then the times were flashing and I received a message that there will be auto resign in certain number of seconds. when the timer reached 0 seconds, nothing happened . I kept waiting . Eventually I returned to Home on the website. I checked my profile and my points had not changed. I did not receive credit for the win by resignation. What should I do If this happens again? Would be absolutely if I could get the 8 points for my win.
