I am doing in Microsoft Edge still these problems are there even with computer's
I think it's maybe just that a very rare glitch was happening....
I cant click pieces on the cdef files. this is rlly annoying and my opponent is utilizing this to he's advantage. he just starts to clump up pieces near the f pawn and I cant do anything. did anyone ever had a similar experience?

Hi,
I have the same problem on my PC - can not move pieces on the first rank - only 4 of them. When exiting full screen then it is possible. The same story both in Chrome and Edge. Do not know how to solve.
Happened to me three times this week. I don't care if it's a browser -- chess.com work with whoever and fix the problem. I'm running Chrome and I'm not changing.

Do you play on a Windows 11 computer?
If yes, then you should reboot your computer before accessing the site.
There's a Windows 11 bug where a transparent dialog box prevents access to the screen area below it. Rebooting clears that dialog box.
