Flashing Clock and Disconnect

Happens to me all the time. I am in the middle of a game and the timers start to flash without the timer going down and my opponent does not move. After like 3 minutes it tells me that I abandoned the game and I lose points. I didn't touch anything for me to abandon it.

i have the same issues. its mostly in bughouse, which is 3 mins per each side so time is important, which makes the flashing clocks thing even more annoying.

I’m taking a break from this website for a while. It’s not just the flashing clock —> abandoned. I get it early in matches draining my time down wait for my opponenet’s move only for me to lose a couple minutes and even if it doesn’t abandon me I have to rush the rest of the moves in the game. Not worth playing here anymore. Maybe I’ll come back to check it out sometime. Or maybe not.

Just to quote I am on 40mbps according to speedtest.net if that isn't enough juice to get to their end consistently they sure have one bad end!
I'm literally on 2 MBPS download speed and .5 MBPS upload speed.

@PipChatNoir...why would you copy a statement that I made sometime back and then edit and add a paragraph of your own to it, to make it look as if it were part of my original quote??? By the way, you've also been reported for doing such a thing!

OK - for everyone. I didn't mean to edit maximillionalpha's post to imply he said anything about work and chess - the second paragraph is mine. I can understand why maximillionalpha went ballistic, but this is my first day on chess.com and I'm still learning how to do things.
At any rate, I've deleted my post as it seems to have caused unnecessary offence. @maximillionalpha - my apologies. I didn't mean to cause offence.

I see these forums go from earliest to latest, and I failed to spot the dialogue box at the bottom.
So, without implying *anything about anyone*... I noticed that if you're working from home and play during a break, the chess.com site doesn't (seem) to like switching between the game browser and the work one -- as I did. Totally understandable, but something to be aware of.
It would be nice of chess.com to have an additional FAQ located in the help icon on the bottom of the screen with a list of do's and dont's. As of today, I think I've stepped in every cowpat in the field!

Apology, accepted! I also would like to offer you an apology, for my hastiness in reporting you. If anything comes of it, please refer them to me and I will try to rectify the issue.
Just wondering if it's just me, or is this happening to anyone else....There are certain rated players that I can play and be dominating and then all of a sudden the clock will start flashing and I get disconnected(with the typical message warning). Is it just me???
I wondered about this for years. Why I would disconnect some days and not others. I now know it's the ISP's speed throttling. This is something they do to provide more speed to their highest paying customers. I can't even make an email attachment at times.
Is there app for android?
