I lose on time too much. (Lag or connectivity or site issues)

I can't explain, my network is over 100Mbps (both down & up) but when in chess game it lagged about 3-4 secs for each move. It's such a big problem in a bullet game, you can't win with this connection. Anyone kindly explain to me, please. Or I have to switch back to old connection with 25Mbps but faster much (only on chess.com)

It's the latency.  The lag detection at Chess.com is useless and doesn't compensate for latency.  If you're hitting the server at 100msec and your opponent is hitting it at 11msec well guess who loses everytime?

Got any evidence for your claims? Or are you just making things up?

It's an expert opinion, Sherlock.

I play 3 minute games with no increment to avoid cheaters. and I consider myself a "not-too-slow" player. and yet my opponents usually have twice more time than me. so I'm pretty much used to losing on time. I don't think there is anything that can be done on my end to improve the situation, since I play the same format on lichess and I pressure people on time there but here it's reversed.

So what did you use as a control? Where's your data? I can easily argue the opposite myself, since I've never had any issues regarding latency.

Good for you mr 15k man.

You complained about lag since last year and still playing. Why?

You wanna see more lag and complain more?.

I don't need to explain myself to you or anyone.  If you have nothing to contribute then blow away like a good little troll.

relakjack

I've experienced this issue in the past... few weeks? Play 3min blitz on the app. Drives me nuts when I know i'm moving quickly, but any 'slowness' on the part of my opponent is somewhere taken from my time. So over the last few weeks, have lost a lot more games on time than I used to. Rating on blitz has fluctuated wildly, when previously i would hold fairly stably at 1500-1600

I find the lag as something to compete with. The game becomes secondary.

ratpacksmokes

I find that playing with no sound is also something to compete with.

I find it very challenging.

No sound, large lag in 1/0 game.

Family noise is  good too

i've had the no sound thing before too. i recall waiting and waiting for the opponent to move then saw my clock ticking down.
