The constant reloading was happening to me also about 4 days ago , but with online / turned based games. I would make a move and it would just constantly reload. The only way to make it stop was to power the ipad down even if I closed out of the app and came back it would still be loading the move. It is working properly now.
Just curious, when your playing live games are you playing strictly through the app or do you go to the site from the app using safari?
Just using app. I'm beginning to think its my crappy provider. My wife says she has same problem playing angry birds on internet. We have the slowest and most expensive internet in the world. Google is laying fiber in certain cities, like Austin, but hasn't reached east coast. Meanwhile time warner is bought by comcast so more people can have lousy service. Thanks for insight, tho.
Recently, the IOS app for chess.com frequently disconnects although my internet connection is fine. It does not matter on which network I am. (Even tried the wifi at a friends house.) Using the ios app on iphone works just fine on the same network. (I do not use them at the same time, but the uses are one after the other in close succession.) Website on the same wifi also does not have the issue. Restarting the ipad or reinstalling the app did not resolve issue. Please advise.
Lately I've been having problems on live chess with ipad disconnecting then reloading constantly. Usually I run out of time while waiting for my opponent to move. It makes live chess unusable. I'm assuming its on my end tho my ISP speed is respectable. This is only on chess.com. I play on another site and it's just fine. Tried re downloading chess.com app but still does the same. Any ideas?
