Why is my game getting crashed?

Hello,

When I go to play a chess game (bullet, daily or whatever), it crashes my PC and I can't play the move which leads to timeout. The recent 2 games I lost was because of this. Before I didn't have this issue.

But there's no issue while playing puzzles. What can be done?

My first thought is you might have an unstable internet connection. Puzzles don't rely on such a fast reply as bullet games do.

It seems to be pretty good actually with download speed, though bad in upload speed.

Yep, those are quite low values. No wonder your connection can't handle it.

Alright, thanks

Daily games shouldn't be a problem though. If the web site crashes on dailies, there's something else going wrong on your PC.

You might challenge me for a test run.

Yeah if i play a move it starts to say "your browser isn't responding" and lags

Okay, that's not only an issue with your internet connection. You might want to check your OS. If you use Windows, there might be a way to clean up your system with on-board tools. But I'm not an expert in this, just an educated guess.

Oh it could be. Thank you. I will check with an expert. Thanks once again.

Thanks for the trophy and I keep my fingers crossed for you!

Check you RAM usage. The longer you stay on chess.com without closing your browser, the more RAM your browser uses. I try to limit my RAM usage to 50% or else, chess com slows down and eventually becomes unresponsive.. Some browsers warn you: "high memory usage detected"

Quantum_Pulse

You may clear up the unwanted applications running in the side of your computer by going to the Task Manager. This may help you save your ram usage. You may also clear the browser history, so that the cache memory is cleared up leading to gradual increase of the speed. Also check your Frames Per Second, and if it is low, you may have to update the device drivers required for the same. If you have a modem, you may use a ethernet cable, which improves your speed, both upload and download.

1st of all, Get a faster internet speed from your provider. Like 100 Mps. That should take care of most your problems.

Prices are coming down. I was paying $65.00 for 12 Mps, per month. Then I found a plan with the same company, for 100 Mps for $50.00, per month. You might have to threaten to change providers. Or maybe even change.

Also your upload speed needs to be a lot higher, the new plan's upload is 10 Mps.

Also clear your browser cache.
