94F to Chess.com rating

I played my first 3 years of competitive chess under the ECF, and yeah I'd say that's about 1300-1400. However, if I remember correctly, the letter at the end is a measure of precision (that is, the fewer games that went into the creation of the rating, the lower the letter will be). I believe that F is the lowest precision rating, meaning that number is based on a very small number of games, so the variance could be quite wide.

Hi everyone
Tomorrow (31st of August 2019), I will be attending to my second OTB (Over The Board) tournament ever!
They have sent an email of list of the players with the rapid grades, near me, it was saying "94F".
My question is, what is 94F in Chess.com rating?
(I am in England)
Thank You
The 94 refers to the initial ECF rating they have given you based on the games you have played so far. While there aren't any accurate conversions, the conversion to FIDE that everyone uses is below:
"With effect from 1st January 2014:
ECF x 7.5 + 700 = FIDE
(FIDE - 700) / 7.5 = ECF"
If you use this with your rating it produces a rating of "1400" and probably a chess.com rating of about the same. Of course since all the rating systems are different, this isn't that accurate so make of it what you will.
The letter after the rating indicates how many games have been used to calculate the rating, meaning that essentially the higher the letter (from A to F), the more accurate the rating is. So I don't have to explain in any more detail, I copied the info from ECF website:
"Category definitions:
A - Grade based on at least 30 games, all played in the latest 12 months
B - Grade based on the 30 most recent games, all played in the latest 24 months, including at least 20 in the latest 12 months
C - Grade based on the 30 most recent games in the latest 36 months, of which at least 10 were played in the latest 12 months
D - Grade based on 15 or more games in the latest 36 months, of which at least 5 were played in the latest 12 months
E - Grade based on 9 or more games in the latest 36 months, of which at least 1 was played in the latest 12 months
F - Grade based on 5 or more games in the latest 36 months, of which at least 1 was played in the latest 12 months. F grades are published in the usual way, but unlike higher categories they are not used in future calculations. A "starting grade" is used instead."
I wouldn't worry a huge amount about ECF ratings anyway, they currently don't update very often and will likely be changed to a different system soon enough.
Good luck in your tourney
