Coded Message... chess puzzle.

By applying basic knowledge about standard alpha-numeric names for squares on chess diagrams, players can solve coded message, except players must be able to use alphanumeric coordinates from Black's perspective and without files and ranks being labelled.

The hidden message refer to a Chess Quote.

Skill Level: For players familiar with use of alphanumeric coding.

I really, really like this, though I spent a little bit of time making sure there wasn't a mate in 1... maybe next time? Oh, I also spent awhile looking for a hidden message in there (other then the quote) like "B Fischer" across a diagonal or something. I don't know what Bilbo is talking about, getting "When you see" and noticing the next word is 1 letter you can deduce that it's 'a' and the very next letter (g) and the fact that it's a four letter word you can guess that it's "good" then you should know exactly what the quote is. Then again, I've been doing crypto puzzles since I was 6.

took me awhile to realize it was the same puzzle. The mates were a little easy but the mate in 4 was fun to find.
