Did you solve it, or did you use the solution button?

You're supposed to find the first move, then you can do all alternatives for black and still get mate on the next move for white.

after the black rook moves white can just check mate with the knight on c5 since the queen gets pinned.

i got the first move but i can't find the checkmate on the second

How did you get the first move if you can't see the checkmate?

1. Qxb7

Why isn't that checkmate?  You could also do Qd8.   Am I missing something?

Till now there is one move that I can see to resolve the mate in 2 and that is    Qxc5 am I missing something?

Yes you are 1 ... Kxc5 and white can't mate next move

How can white take his own knight? Are you meaning 1 Bf5 Qxc5 and black has block the king's escape square, leading to 2 Qd8#. 1 Bf5 wins as black can only make a weak move and allow mate next move.

No I ment Black does Qxc5  but I didn't see Qd8+ Guess there realy is no escaping for Black :D

Are you forcing mate in two for black?  Your "correct move" seems to allow that.

I cant see mate in two for white.  Black seems to have enough options to postpone mate a few more moves.  Taking the knight on F5 for example.

I'm hit the solution button, and still can't see check-mate in two

Sure the black queen is in trouble, but it's not mate in 2

please explain

ok does any move with this Bishop mate in two ? and does not 1.Qf8 also mate in two? and if either is true does that "cook" this mate in two as a mate in two "problem" ? As a mate in two problem should only have one viable solution?
Avatar of rutra23
difficult. i would have never made that bishop move. i was thinking about capturing a piece with check, and then finding the mate.

I'm clearly not understanding this mate in 2. Doesn't Kxc5 prolong it?
