Ouch, but couldn't black just capture the knight with his pawn instead of taking the queen?

That's main moral of the puzzle. If somebody gives you queen for free - FIRST CHECK ALL THE VARIANTS!!!! And then take knight with pawn.Cool

That would have been a better choice for black than getting checkmated immediately. White then regains his piece by Qxg4 leaving white up a pawn. So Nxd5 is the correct move for white to start the puzzle.

Very nice.

I can't remember where I ran across this. I remember reading that white is supposed to have a winning advantage even if black declines the queen as he will be up a pawn with a solid position.  I have  been able to use this in actual play twice.

I haven't seen this position but three or four times outside a book.  I believe it is called the Legal's Trap.

I love this style for bughouse. It is seen a lot in bughouse/crazyhouse, since White usually sacs a bishop for the f pawn, then uses the knight and drops pawns.
