don't give up! i believe than u can do it!
puzzle ratings r tough cuz they always go up and down.
typically i use a chess board and play out all the possibilities to minimize errors.

Take a break from puzzles for a few days and then you will get your rating back up
my rating went down again. the mate in 1 i always miss, because i always see a better move
I went from 2100 to 1600. 50 points isn't a big deal.

sometimes the puzzles lead to repetition but i see checkmate if i were to sacrifice a Peice. but the Puzzles wont allow me to do it sometimes.. almost as if it doesn't count that move as a possibility
its really annoying sometimes

Sometimes you can mate another way, but it dumps me with a -20!
i wish the puzzels could accept all possible checkmates. hopefully chess.com will add a multi possiblity feature in some of these possibles

Puzzles are needed. Work them, then rework them (particularly the ones you miss) and don't worry about rating points.

oh so that's what is it about, when you see a better move that leads to checkmate, and it doesn't work, that means they want you to have a better positioning of the pieces. so they do kinda acknowledge that you could go for checkmate or set a mating net, but straight up telling you, "NO" you will do the puzzel like this, get a better position, oh whats this, you could go for checkmate, but why go for checkmate when you can fork the queen and bishop by checking the king. that actually does make sense to me now.
its not your puzzle rating that matters, but whether you've understood the puzzle or not.
Some people cheat in puzzles simply because the rating reflects well on them, but tbh deep down they learn NOTHING. Only those who do trial and error will learn. Eventually, the ratings of those who've learned from puzzles will increase very quickly, while the cheaters could get caught and get their account closed.
Yes well said. After all I hav sprung to 2300-2400 very quickly after. I always know I can count on u for advice
