hi. i know there are probably thousands of these threads, but im mainly going to be posting here for my own record. mostly things i see in live chess and maybe some studies i see on youtube that i think are interesting. if you'd also like to submit puzzles or games or whatever, feel free :D

i saw something similar to this in a game recently, an IM playing as black and a ~1700 as white. except the underdog (white), under time pressure, overlooked the crushing tactic and lost the game :(

white missed the skewer and sent his queen elsewhere in the actual game. needless to say the IM was already aware he had dodged a bullet when i pointed it out at the end of the game :)
