It can be shown that as x approaches 0 from the right side, 1/x will approach positive infinity.

And likewise it can be shown that as x approaches 0 the left side, 1/0 will approach negative infinity.

Showing that 1/0 is not a number but a limit.

The square root of -infinity equals infinity i [i being the imaginary unit or - square root of -1]

But infinity i itself does not have a defined square root.

The absolute value of the quotient (1/0)=[1/0] which is Infinity. Since the absolute value of any non 0 real, or complex number must be positive.

But, most mysteriously the absolute value of 1 divided by the absolute value of 0=[1]/[0] is both negative or positive Infinity, still.

Thanks for the calculus

A black hole is like Infinity, because anything plus a black hole is still just the black hole.

And the black hole minus anything is just the black hole, as well.

The black hole does get bigger though

1/0 = The Infinite itself.
