A really good friend of mine had his account closed because he was determined to get my blitz score up so he kept playing me and resigning so I’d get the points. Now that’s he’s gone, my blitz score is back to being embarrassingly low. 🥺

Being female is definitely an advantage in this area. I have a Somalian chess friend who says that in his country, the men always let the women win. At first I was offended, but then I thought, oh heck, why not? At times, I welcome any and all pity points!
