History is the study of evens and people; historiography is the study of historical writings but the two of them often intermixed, great question!

What about the artillery of post WWII? I am working on a report about the history of artillery, and I would like to know your thoughts on artillery from this Era. (This seems a strange place to ask about this, but whatever.)

I am certainly no expert and you probably know more than me but my guess is we can go faster and further with the aid of AI and rockets. Good Luck on your paper!

Mikhail Gorbachev, the last ruler of Soviet Russia died today at age 91. He accomplished many things and even had a Nobel Peace Prize.

but why do we WANT faster and further rockets? Surely this just increases the potential for war?

True, but all sides are afraid of the others being ahead and beating them so they upped production. We (the u.s) have enough bombs to destroy the earth many times.

But then there should be this global treaty like how everyone agreed to disarm their nuclear bombs, until trump backed out (please don't get into politics I don't want this thread locked), but that no country should research more into faster and further missiles

A very valid argument, you should be a delegate! I wish things could be that way but humans like power and are very difficult to work with.

they have an independence day, so I would say the former (don't quote me on that)

Yes, but their Independence Day might be about the Collapse of the USSR.
those dates arent even near each other though

Ukraine’s secession might not be the day it was officially dissolved.
googled it and your right
I was inspired by Elrochs now 7-year running forum topic on science and evolution (Elroch if your reading this sorry if you feel this is plagiarism) and so I decided to have another one all about history. It can be film facts, biographical blips or just about how Napoleon was above average height for the time! Please no spamming, politics (other than proven facts) or religious stuffs (unless it's a cool fact and not an ad) have fun and I can't wait to learn something!
