A philosophy thread.
I think Beethoven didn't lose his touch though.
Re. 'Tom's, preceding #484 statement.. Although it's partly True, that composers, produce a lot of inferior songs - Subjectivity, Still Rules, even in 'song' and music writing!
And, counter-intuitively.. Just when you think, that All the 'Good' music, has already been composed.. Some previously unknown composer, will produce music, of a 'BladeRunner'.. 'Chariots-of-Fire', or perhaps, 'Planets'/'Holst' composition, threshold! o:
I think the sixties was the best of music.
Right now is there the talent there was then?
That said Beethoven and Mozart were astonishingly talented.
I wonder if there has been a finest musician.
I wonder if Mozart or Beethoven were particularly talented musicians.
Someone told me the Beatles aren't particularly gifted musicians.
Mozart certainly seemed to be technically brilliant.
Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?
Society doesn't seem to reflect on whether we are actually happy. It's all knee jerk fulfilling desires.
I find it interesting that now people live longer lives the senile dementia problem is massive.
I think I would prefer a shorter life with my wits intact.
As intact as they have ever been anyway.
.. 'Honeybees' are too practical, {& busy}, to wonder much, about such things, as their own, existential happiness.

i dont understand so correctly that english...........what i try to say is that what we usually call happiness.......perhaps it is not because its depends of our circunstances, the events, the state of humor, etc.......but the trutlly happiness you can find it when you finally perhaps discover who you really are.........so since that point an on it cant never more depend on circunstancial events...
1 Thessalonians 5:18New International Version (NIV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
.. At worst.. Inferior 'circumstances', could serve, the 'No Pain, No Gain' principle ..
Or, "What doesn't kill me.. Makes me Stronger"! ..{thankyou, "Frederich Neitchze"!}.
People going to war in 1914 put roses in their guns and were cheerful ...they entered a never before seen Hell on earth..

Your knowledge of 'English', 'carolina'.. Easily surpasses, {is Greater than}.. My abilities, in Any Other, language.. {plus, most 'Americanos'!}.
.."Tell me, and I Forget ..
.. Teach me, and I remember ..
.. Involve me, and I Learn" ! ..{Ben Franklin}.

I wonder though if consciousness exists anywhere without matter.
Oh and if a computer could be sentient.
