The last page had us talking about CBS's Stephen Colbert's cancellation. Here's what Jamie Lee Curtis has to say about it. With the de-funding of NPR, & PBS, their trying to silence us. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/articles/jamie-lee-curtis-thinks-colbert-165500209.html

well, i'm not going to base any opinion based on what a celebrity says, especially one that has grown up with parents in the industry.

as far as the defunding, i think all we can hope for is that some come to their senses. i truly do not understand how so many vote against what is in their self interest. rural areas will lose radio stations that provide news.

i could provide a wall of text about how bad this is, but, that would be something, and, this is mostly about nothing.

AL,....a story I read awhile back. Many yrs after Syd Barrett left Pink Floyd, the band was in the studio working on something. Abbey Road studios can be a busy place with all kinds of people coming & going on any given day. Syd came in to work on something also. After finishing, he goes down the hall, walks in the Floyd room and just quietly looks around. About 1/2 hr later he leaves. About 20 mins later someone said,..."was that Syd"? .....they couldn't even recognize him. I just thought that was sad. You put a lot of work into running a band and yrs later they don't even know him.

it's a funny thing how artists we like are mercurial. we love what they do for us, but there might be a dark side.

He fried his brain on drugs. It wasn't that they didn't know him, they didn't recognize him. Once they recognized who it was, they were shocked that this disheveled bum was their old bandmate.

I like to eat raw pickles. Can you get me some catnip to make it tasty?

There is no doubt in my mind who is number one - I have always been number one.
