Technically, TOGOT is the kid’s version of this, because this thread has been around longer. Also technically, @eryxc frequents TOGOT, and she’s an adult.

This is what turned me on to Jazz many years ago...Coltrane on the sax...Miles Davis ...being so cool..the first time I heard "So what"...was in a cafe at night and cig smoke and coffee smell...Lebanese cab drivers talking low ..

When it comes to the horns I like the Sax best of all and the Trumpet is second. Here is my favorite Sax solo by Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band. "Jungleland"

i loved clemons also. pretty cool when bruce mentioned him in tenth avenue freeze out. as far as sax solos in rock songs, i love the one in pink floyd's money, especially since it transitions into the guitar solo.

@ Al Thanks for pointing out the Sax solo in Money. I had totally forgotten about it. That solo is very cool too.
