For what? An orchestra, a train, or a wire.

all of the above.  speaking of wires, my younger kid learned the hard way not to stick her fingers into an open socket when we visited sri lanka many years ago.

---   I can remember when we still had Cabooses on our Railway, that was where the Conductor was stationed. I worked for a while looking after Cabooses, doing holiday relief in that department.

I totally agree with Mexi.

that he should break into my office, & use my couch while i'm not there?

Pulpofeira

That too.

Today we visited my oldest SIL. She still looks damn good, but the temper isn't improving with age. Shiny shields are so useful.

You sure have problems with the in-laws Pulp. How is the FIL?

Pulpofeira

To be honest, I like the two SILs despite their temper, they are good women. The FIL is not bad provided you don't mess with that spoiled brat they have as the sole male child, that's the real problem in that family.

@ Mexi   So when are you coming to Vegas a play that chess game with me that you bailed on in May?

MEXIMARTINI

You know Hess, I'm not going to make any promises, but I'm gunning for some time this year.

My brother was there in the summer. One day his mobile phone stopped working because of the heat!

A Flip phone is a dumb as they come. I can call, text and receive voicemail. That's the way I like it too.

I'm still nursing my flip phone of 8+ years.  Scotch tape is holding part of the plastic frame together.  Years ago, I had the techies TURN OFF those God-damn texts.  But two-step authentication is starting to trip me up, so I might break down and replace it with an Alcatel Blue Flip from Sprint.  As for smart phones, I had one for about 4 years at work.  Had the techies turn off ALL incoming calls and text.  Only wanted it for access to work emails.  That way my managers couldn't give me more work to do (via smart phones), over the weekends.  Whew.  That was mouthful.  I don't know how much longer that Scotch Tape will hold.  So I might be forced to join the 21st Century, (about a decade late).  Ha!

amazing.  my kids laugh at me for not changing my phone after 4 years - well i did get a new one last year.  replaced a xiaomi with an oppo.  have to get with the times i suppose

I use a $15 flip phone I got at Target ages ago. I pay $20 every 3 months to Virgin Mobile to keep this fabulous object running.
