Another how do you save a .wav file

Hi;

At risk of being beligerant, just simply that - how do you save a .wav file from the Web to disk?  Surely there must be a simple way of doing this in Windows XP (home ed).

With an image file you would simply right-click and select 'Save as'.  Here I am talking about genuinely free media files, so no question here about copyright infringement, etc.

I have been told to simply right-click on the target and then to select
'Save target as', but I never get 'Save target as' when I right-click on a .wav file (or any audio file), only 'Save link as' or 'Save link location', neither of which is any good...

Can you give me the link and I'll try it

Thanks for that - sorry for late reply.  The link is/was http://www.moviesounds.com/2001/2001theme.wav - again, if I right click I don't get 'Save target as' only 'Save link as' or 'Save link location'.  Same thing happens on other midi file download sites.

Save link as , i think is the same as save target as . The first is used in Firefox , second in internet explorer

Thanks to all.  That explains it - I use firefox, so maybe it is Save link as.  I'll try it, but something tells me that this would just save the link and not the file itself, but I'll find out.
