Any (experienced(ish)) rabbit owners?

(3) My mom had a pet rabbit when she was a kid, but someone let it out of her cage while she was at school (she was a yard rabbit), so she didn't have it for that long. At least not long enough to learn specific things about it other than general care. And my dad is too lost in TikTok to talk to. Thank you, though.
*ahem
I've been trying to get a rabbit/bunny since October, I think. However, the pet store that had rabbits closed about this time last year. it seemed pretty sketchy anyways. I can't find any local-ish breeders. Most are several states away, and I can't justify asking my parents to have to drive for a day or more for a rabbit. I've been wanting either a French Lop or a Rex. If I were to get a rabbit, I would only want one. I'm homeschooled, so I would be able to give it pretty constant attention.
I know how to care for one, and I could easily find a good sized pen, and a house to stick it in while cleaning on Amazon. And the food, treats, bowls, bedding, toys, etc. from PetSmart or PetCo.

I already have a dog. And I'm not sure if there would be enough space in my bedroom for a rabbit. My room is a 12x12, I have a queen sized bed, big night stand, huge bookshelf (sitting horizontal, not a tall one), jewelry stand, an old toy chest I use to hold blankets and pillows, and a desk. I'm pretty sure the tiny amount of floor space I have left is the sized pen it would need (not even 5x5 ft. unless you would count a 12x2 walkway), which wouldn't be great for the either of us. Going back to where I mentioned The Dog. I would probably have to stick it outside of my bedroom. Where I'd have to stick it would probably be at the top of the stairs, but still several feet back (that makes no sense..). The Dog is kept downstairs in the dining room and kitchen with baby gates (very aesthetic, ik ik) However, she still gets let upstairs by my not very smart brothers, who are very much lacking in IQ, and I'm scared The Dog and the possible rabbit would hurt each other. Another concern of mine is the fact that the vet The Dog goes to doesn't see rabbits. The guy at the front desk told my mom about some vet, but when I looked at them online, it showed up as some groomer place. AH, yet another concern. Most of the cute little cages actually aren't big enough! I would assume they may work if you have some dwarf. I could squeeze that in-between my desk and my drawing stuff, but I don't want the rabbit to eat the wood and get sick or just be plain uncomfortable.
I've been looking at The Bunny Lady since she has a rabbit of her own, and works at a shelter for rabbits.
I apologize for this jumbled post, but if there are any rabbit owners, experienced or not, I have a few not-so-quick questions.
Every summer me and my family go to the gulf of Florida. it's over 900 miles away. I mean.. if you can see the following image, we drive from the general area of the blue dot to the red icon. All in 9-13 hours. That is if I don't forget something stupid this year.
It's already bad enough with two brothers and a pitbull that has doubled in size since last year (60+ pounds now and all muscle) I feel like this Sleepy Pod thing-a-ma-bob-contraption would be good, but $300 seems.. a bit much unless I'm that oblivious about price tags. How should I bring it to make sure the said rabbit stays safe and comfortable? Should I be looking at a different carrier, like one for a cat?

Like I said, I really want a Rex or a French Lop. If I got a French I would have to name it French Fries. If I got a Rex, it'd be T-Rex. Don't ask. Is there a specific breed I should be looking for? Something that doesn't have a whole lot of health issues. I'm fine with long hair, stinking, and shedding. You would not ever believe how much bulldogs or pitbulls shed, unless you own one and its kept in the house.

I'm not really sure if I should introduce the rabbit to The Dog. The Dog goes insane in the brain when there's squirrels eating out of the bird feeders. So, I'm not sure how they would interact. But, I would want my dog to know why I smell like a different animal and what it is. (that last part sounds so stupid im sorry) She causes no trouble at the vet, she doesn't flip out at bigger dogs, or small dogs. The other day, there was a hotdog dog in there, and she just laid down on the floor beside it and wagged her tail. Obviously, I'd keep The Dog on a leash while introducing them just out of safety. How should I ensure that both of them stay safe while introducing them? Or should I just avoid that all together?

I'm sure if you saw this meme I made in Nate's meme forum, you know about the random creatures in my backyard.

Again, sorry for the long forum post. I really should turn this in for an essay next school year. I should call it,
"The Struggle of Trying to Convince Your Parents You Need a Rabbit. Or Anything!"
But hey, salutations if you made it this far through my jumbled mess.
I may not be able to reply until tomorrow, so sorry.
