Any normal people out there?

Joined the site although I am not a chess nerd type.

I joined two games and the opposition never made a single move.

Started my own game and the guy made two moves before disappearing.

It seems there are 10 million members but only about 20 000 actually play the game and most of them play live chess.

The forums are all about the existence of god, global warming, various word games and mute questions.

Perhaps chess is dead after all.

It all reminds me why I prefer real sport.

If any normal person wants a game of chess let me know, no nerds please.

Thanks TK. The rules seem like a bit of a grey area too. Can you post pictures or not ? Why are highly offensive comments not deleted ? Do they have moderators here? Is this site a front for something else?

Almost a week into joining and still not a single game played. Two no shows, several aborts and one game won on time after 2 moves. I am never going to manage an immortal game at this rate but I will probably have to become immortal to eventually get a game going.
