Anyway, back when I was vegetarian, my dad( who is also vegetarian and the only reason I ever was vegetarian) would sometimes( rarely) buy ham. But it didn’t have any actual meat in it cuz it was plant based it was only made out of plants
My dad doesn’t eat meat but he also doesn’t eat eggs. But he eats fish

Fish counts as meat, I believe fish eating vegetarians are actually called "Pescatarians"

Fish is protein
It isn’t considered traditional ‘meat’ because it is not a land animal (idk the reason why, it just ain’t)
