Are chess players dumber than average people?

I just found out that not hardly and people on chess.com have never in their life heard of AC/DC.  What is with that?  What else are chess players ignorant to?

Moving wood around can involve a surprising number of skills.

And if you could beat him at "moving wood around" that would make you smart and him stupid but untill then...stop calling Magnus stupid!

Does it count if I beat Magnus with a large wooden dowel rod? I will be moving wood in the process.

I know about them too.  I know what he is talking about as in the group "Mozart and Music" we were talking about AC/DC and nobody had heard of it.
