On Aug 28th,1963, "Peter, Paul and Mary" performed "Blowin' in the Wind" before 200,000 civil rights marchers gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial to hear Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. The trio also joined Joan Baez and Bob Dylan to lead the demonstrators in singing "We Shall Overcome."
