YumYumSharpTeeth: No, not according to me. According to any famous composer. Bach is the god of music. Mozart and Beethoven are ok too, so is Mendelssohn but Bach is god.

Today I was in the mood for a lively piece of music so I went with Richard Wagner's " Ride Of The Valkyries ". The version that I found over on YouTube was by the Berliner Philharmoniker led by Daniel Barenboim ( quite interesting as he conducted entirely without a score ).

---   Quite a number of people may have listened to this piece of music without knowing it because it is played during the helicopter attack scenes in the film " Apocalypse Now ".

Tchaikovsky is my favourite.

FRENCHBASHER001

they have a new releas about "Apocalypse now", soon, with 20 mn more !

the success of the scene is entirely due to R WAGNER, I guess! fascinating

Tchaikovsky : a great movie too, with Dame Glenda Jackson and Richard Chamberlain 70's.

and "SHINE" movie, with concerto n°3 and Sir John Gielguld as the teacher, true story!
