Go Sox/ freezenyr: whatever happened to the yankees? There has historically been an hysteric dichotomy between the red sox and yankees(boston and ny), and this year it is missing. I feel the loss of that typical shock and awe diorama, and feel like something is missing! o well there is always a good chess game for a little shock and awe.

there are a few reasons for this lack of hysteria. for one thing, the yanks aren't as good as they used to be and fans of both teams know it. for another thing, this is the third straight year they will not meet in the playoffs so that lessens the drama. this rivalry won't go away though because of the history.

there's nothing like a game 7 in baseball post-season. The Red Sox have come back against the Indians; winning games 5 and 6 to force game 7 Sunday night in Boston. the winner advances to the World Series against Colorado.
