I'm not Batgirl (much to my regret) but I believe it's called "Fortunate Son" & is from the Album "Willy and the Poor Boys" (1969)

Thank you very much chessbot. What a song, what a voice! The fact that you are not a female flying mammal matters not to me. Its just that she is a fan and seems to be pretty clued up. Oh, and batgirl, I retract my previous statement about The Osmonds and would like to replace it with Bruce Springsteen and the E street (I think) band. You cant get a lot more American than that. Not to a Brit like me anyway.

Yeah, that's Fortunate Son. I would have thought you'd know Proud Mary at least, or their almost psychedelic version of I've Heard it through the Grapevine, not to mention Up Around the Bend, Down on the Corner, Sweet Hitchhiker, Who'll Stop the Rain?Have You ever Seen the Rain?, Out My Backdoor, Someday Never Comes, Run Through the Jungle, Old Man Down the Road, Travellin' Band, Green River, Commotion and probably a few I can't think of off-hand.  Springsteen is definitely as American as American can be, but even more so, workingman or everyman.

Batgirl, I cant believe I haven't got into CCR before. I have been on a site downloading their stuff and its great. So far I my faves are Fortunate Son, Run Through The Jungle and Midnight Special, but I think I'l just keep going until my thirst is quenched. Us Brits can be a bit precious about our music sometimes, but you guys across the pond have turned out a plethora of greats over the years. Oh, and I do know Proud Mary too, but only ever heard it by Elvis (how embarrasing).

I was thinking more like, how unfortunate.

You can't go wrong with John Fogarty and the CCR.

Coincidentally, I was listening to the radio while ago and there was some silly pre-Hallowe'en program playing some pretty good songs such as Witchy Woman by the Eagles and When Your Strange by the Doors, and then they played Tombstone Shadow by CCR.

I'm trying to work out how the fire started when i suddenly relize that "Strawberry Fields" is playing from inside the burning house. The snow then stops I say "of course" and the house is no longer burning and it is as if it was never on fire. A guy then comes up to me and says "how did you work it out?" and I just walk away humming "strawberry fields" with a smile on my face. Then I wake up. I wonder what it means?

Perhaps you should stop taking those sleeping meds.

Amnesiac, if you make a full length story from your dream, you could become a Paperback Writer. Other than that, I think you should go and see Dr Robert.

Don't think you've ever brought a piece; Look at me;

I brought the entire discography and concert recordings months ago;

Just a small feather in the cape of our Great Music Hall, which has all the recordings of nearly 1600 artists from 30s to the time now,

DMX BLAH...BLAH...BLAH..., can you afford it!

This is another example of the glory of Multi-Million Dollar People!

Hahaaaaa

 I don't need your millions Riff Buff, or the 'glory?'.  And with that kind of money in my pocket the last thing I'm gonna do is buy anything to do with The Beatles.  I'd use the money to sue who's left of the Beatles for noise pollution.
