Bullet Babies

Recently, I've been playing bullet unrated because I have more fun playing when nothing is at stake. I play different openings and try and handicap myself. Unfortunately, some players don't seem to understand what I'm doing and get butthurt when they lose in unrated bullet. I just wanted to get some peoples opinions and experiences on playing online chess unrated and people getting mad for losing when nothing is at stake.

I don't think I could ever understand how anyone could feel butthurt or angry at the opponent when they lose the game. No trickery is possible, no illegal moves are possible over the internet, plus they decided to play bullet chess in the first place so they cannot complain about the lack of time. Personally I think bullet chess is stupid since it makes it all about the ability to make a move fast and to survive. I just don't see the point.

Bullet chess is all about your instinct and your raw ability to make the best move and see patterns in a split second. It has a point. It trains your mind to think faster, which in turn, helps your ability to notice patterns quicker and waste less time on the clock in a standard time control.

On the subject of what my teammate is asking:

Chess.com has a somewhat toxic community. It's difficult to find people that aren't caught up in their pride and complain when they lose to anyone.

You are talented, JKD. Just keep up what you're doing and ignore the children.
