My dad actually really wanted me to study aerospace engineering(rofl, no), because that's "where we are headed". But tbh we are likely to never see those drastic changes.

Are you kidding me? Flying cars already exist . I'm not sure about sexbots though
Aerospace engineering really is the future. Today, we're slamming rockets into planets at several thousand meters per second. Years from now, we'll be slamming rockets into planets at a significant fraction of the speed of light!
My own interests are more in line with testing the idea of being able to slam rockets into planets at velocities exceeding the speed of light.
