It ‘twas a rather nice evening when I had ‘hopped on’ to chess.com. I wanted a nice fun match to go on in the background whilst I was gaming with some friends so I had selected the three day daily game option. Once I was matched up I was presented with this problem of which I bring forth to you. My opponent was (is) playing white and has moved once…
Now look I understand that you may take your time between moves in a daily game but why do peoples take forever to make the first move like they weren’t waiting three seconds before to get paired up.

Does anyone else share my pain, or any answers to this rather curious behavior?

Answer: sometimes it takes extra long cuz many moves are being planned in advanced so u would have to find the exact piece and exact position to make sure its right for whatever your strategy may be

#3 I understand that the thinking process takes time but I don’t know if someone needs 5 hours to decide what opening they want to play.

I agree. It is likely manipulative, hoping to claim a win later in a game you thought they had abandoned or never started.

Sometimes they just keep making games and just move each one.
