yeh kinda but not rlly like i hate all those references in modern society to chess when a battle or thinking is required lol

Me too! Its just that i was at the cinema the other day and becz in my country ppl rarely make a line. So when i got near the ticket counter i saw this girl standing to my right about to take the spot of the person already buying the ticket. At the time i told my friend to stand on the left of the person buying the ticket and block that person who was about to leave.
Naturally he didn't leave from that spot and made his exist where the girl was standing. That give me enough time to take the spot. Isn't this like blocking in chess ? How do you see this? At the time I did say 'I love chess'
Those who have been playing the game for sometime now my question to all of you is that have you noticed similarities between the game and life?
