I have issues with chess.com and need a new site to play on. I hear good things about lichess. Does anyone have experience with it?

Try "Chessable". https://www.chessable.com/courses/all/all/free/?page=3

Is Yahoo chess still a thing? If so you should try that out.

The lichess app is definitely not as nice to interact with as the chess.com app. Their website seems better though. Could you explain more how their rating is inflated?

Chessable is an alternative to learning chess but I also want somewhere to play matches.

I'm not sure why it's inflated but I can prove it

That's me and you can compare my ratings

Just an average player. Wow, that's a huge difference in ratings.

Tec. Do you know why the point gain/loss is so varied against equally rated players? Could it be due to the pauses in play?

Apparently as the ratings get higher the gap between cc and lichess ratings becomes smaller

I'm never going to be a good chess player. I more just want to play chess for fun online. Honestly, I wish the rating could be turned off

My highest was just over 1000 on blitz roughly a year ago. So for the past year I've seen my rating fall and rise and never get back to what it was. Would be nice to just play

Tec. That's a good idea
