Here's the article on what chess.com has to say about the war. It is very informative and I think it behooves us all to read it. Unless you have paws. Then it would bepaw you to read it.
Posts which are supportive of the war or that spread misinformation on the war will be removed, and members posting such content will be banned from Chess.com.
According to this, me, and many others that I interact with in the forums, should not even be here playing. I would say that the moderators and staff are being extremely lenient in what they let us talk about. They have a ticking time bomb on their hands. The forums were created so that we could exchange Chess information and then pirates took it over and found out we could talk about all kind of crazy stuff, as well as Chess. They don't need it turning into Facefarce, and we certainly don't want that.
The moderators live in fear of a major uprising and an assault on the moderator lounge. Mr. Stahl is worried about losing the microwave. How's he gonna heat his meals in the afternoon? The lounge got rolled last week, so everyone's a little wary right now. (Seems like it gets rolled almost every day, eh Martin?)
Let's be supportive of the moderators and staff. Remember, we are at the best party on the planet. No fighting, no biting. Mind your manners.
I'd like to express my appreciation for the moderators, the staff and the entire site. Thank you for what you have given us. My thanks, as well, to all the wonderful players here.
I'm just a snowflake in the middle of the flamers.
