Overnight winds will veer around from westerly to northwesterly and this will push smoke from the West Mims fire (Okefenokee swamp) towards Jacksonville. Many of us will start smelling the smoke before midnight and for some, near the Okefenokee swamp, will see reduced visibilities.
Air quality around Jacksonville will reach levels where particulate matter (ash) will cause some respiratory stress on the elderly and those will preexisting respiratory issues. That means coughing, runny eyes and some shortness of breath. %INLINE%
The bad-good news is that the smoke will remain in the Jacksonville area until about Wednesday when winds shift again, pushing the smoke back into Georgia. That means good news for Jacksonville as skies clear out, but for folks in Georgia it means an extended period of time where smoke will dominate the skies.
Weather will actually be fairly nice, but not like last week when everyday seemed to be near perfect. Expect lots of sunshine and building heat as daytime high temperatures reach near 90° each afternoon starting Thursday. Ominously, the heat (highs near 93°) and highest afternoon winds (more than 15 mph) will be most intense around the West Mims fire. This will likely allow this fire to become very massive (+100,000 acres) within the next 5 days.
Tonight's Forecast: smoke moves in with cool temperatures.
8 p.m. 70
10 p.m. 66
12 midnight 62
Sunrise 6:49 a.m.
Sunset 8:01 p.m.

5-8-2017 we did get some rain this last week but not much other places had a lot more rain and we have a fire up north of here Osceola national forest fire near lake city. Highs in the 80s moving up to the low 90s and lows 50s to the high 60s over the next seven days.

5-26-2017 it was a little cool here yesterday, This morning it is 56 degrees right now.
This morning's temperatures started in the cool, crisp 50s and low 60s This will most likely end up being the coolest morning until September. Enjoy! Expect clear skies, calm winds and dry conditions.
The cool down does not last, we warm up close to 90° for the afternoon hours. Expect dry weather today, with much lighter winds, out of the West between 5-10 mph.
If you don't have outdoor plans for this evening, I suggest making some! For the evening hours we will sink through the low 80s into the 70s around sunset- making for perfect and comfortable conditions to enjoy the start of the holiday weekend. Tonight will cool down nicely, sunset is at 8:21 p.m. and overnight temperatures will head into the mid to low 60s by early Saturday morning.
Saturday is beautiful, but hot. After starting out in the mid 60s, under clear, sunny skies we will warm into the low to mid 90s for the afternoon hours. Winds will be light and chances for rain will be nonexistent. Saturday night will turn mild after sunset.
Sunday morning we start in the mid to upper 60s under clear skies. Expect a sunny warm up into the steamy low to mid 90s by the afternoon hours. Sunday night will be warm, getting down into the low 70s for early Monday morning.
Memorial Day starts out in the low 70s, expect partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will warm into the mid 90s, prompting a tiny (20%) chance for a pop up afternoon shower.
As we head into our short workweek, expect afternoon highs around 90° and 40% chances for afternoon showers.

The idea is that we would do are own research to see if our planet is really having extreme colder and hotter temperatures than what normal temperatures should really be in our neck of the woods this time of year worldwide. Thank you for stopping by from time to time to share your local weather forecast . What is the temperature in your neck of the woods? Weather In Jacksonville Florida. To me because of these words being used in this manner with current definitions this has really cause a lot of people to become confused with their understanding of these subjects. There are two actions going in the same direction and one subject that has nothing to do with the other two. Which is why I believe people are confused. I believe the only way for people to no longer be confused is to change the definitions of these three subjects to where people can no longer be confused. What definitions should be used for these subjects so people will no longer be confused? I figure it out so here goes. Global Warming. Definition: The law of the natural order of nature, Climate Change. Definition: The law of the natural order of nature, Man Made Climate Change. Definition: The creation of man made pollution by using and decreasing resources of substances of living and nonliving materials for the enhancement of increasing economic growth and human populations. Written by me on 11-19-2016 I have rethought my definition on Man Made Climate Change It would seem I have to further explain. Man Made Climate Change for it covers the whole gambit of actions by mankind. When the United States during world war two drop the Atom bomb on the country of Japan that was a action of man made climate change for the climate change during the explosion a lot of people animals died and people in the surrounding areas got sick. Every time military;s test a nuclear bomb and it is set off by governments this is a action of man made climate change. When Saddam Hussein put all of the oil wells on fire when the wars started back during the first Bush was president for these oil wells where burning for months this is a action of man made climate change. Look at all of the garbage in land fills all around the world this action is man made climate change. When people dump paint and other chemicals into the environment this is man made climate change. I am sure all my friends here can see all of these changes being done by humanity sense the start of the industrial revolution over three hundred and fifty years ago with a gradual increase of pollution over the years being done by humanity all of this is called man made climate change. And the list goes on and on. So I ask you all how many people have died and gotten sick because of these actions. Written by me on 3-31-2017.
