Cigarettes?

I feel sorry for the people that have never smoked. I was fortunate enough to start at 30 and have never looked back. If you enjoy smoking, just do more than most. I'm now 45 and do not know a single person over30 that can do what I do, or looks as good. I train harder, eat healthier, only drink water and vegie fruit juices, (the occassional wine), keeps you on your toes and as fit as a fiddle.

Non-Smokers, beware of laziness it is your true enemy, not others smoking. Cheers!

Seriously? My brother held my dad'd hand in an Portland hospital
when he breathed his last due to emphysema as a direct result of a 2-3 pack a day habit. Yeaaaa... that sure is something to look forward to. I watched my dad's health deteriorate as he went from the early stages of the disease... could'nt sleep flat in bed (hard to breath).. had to sleep reclined in easy chair.. his morning hacking cough with green phlegm .... to the advanced stages where he was on oxygen which wasnt enough to allow him to go to the bathroom... had to pee in a beer bottle where he sat. Smoking sucks big time. He died (January 11, 1997) 2 months before I met my eventual wife which means my sons never had a chance to meet him.

I must add... I dont hate smokers... feel sorry for them.... some of the nicest people ive ever met were smokers... some of the biggest jerks ive met were non smokers.... smoking doesnt make people jerks... but... it makes people who are jerks already.... much worse (im gonna smoke and i dont care if you have to beathe it).

That pretty much describes my grandpa. He was bedridden for several years with emphysema.

Not a good way to go.

Not trying to offend here. I have asked many people this question.

How many people do you know up to now that have died because of smoking, or even possibly? I then ask how many people do you know have died through non related smoking reasons?

Try it for yourselves, quite overwhelming. I have asked many people over....let's say 8-10 months and easily mid-high 90's, nothing to do with smoking.

Try asking just half a dozen people. : 0

Ha!  Yeah, might wanna' make it an even dozen.

It's pretty rare to meet a smoker who doesn't realize how incredibly stupid it is to smoke.

Avatar of George1st

I am very rare. Even though, try my little test and see for yourself. Then you may wish to have a good look in the mirror : )

Five out of six people don't die from Russian Roulette.

At least that last person went quickly though, unlike he would have with tobacco.

Maybe smoking is healthier in Australia, on a more serious note: maybe the people are.  Smoking is bad for one's health, Russian Roulette is only once; I don't see any way of getting around those facts.

Instead of being sheep and listening to the government acting as though they want people to give up because it's so bloody dangerous. As if, they know exactly what they're doing.

The sheep are easily lead and the smoker whom is entitled to enjoy a quiet expensive luxury, is ridiculed.

Lets make peace...you guys sit outside with ur families breathing the fresh air and jamming down all that fast food crap with ur soda's and I will enjoy my water, healthy produce exercise and a lovely ciggie to finish it off.

You guys are so bloody stupid, laughable...unfortunately.

Smoking might be fantastic for some but not for me....sorry  .....I hate the smell of it..why should I put up with that smell???    It's nasty!  If you want to smoke is fine....is your business......but dont make others who dont like it be part of your stinky habit....

I also dont get it.....working so hard for your money and then you smoke it???  and at the same time you are hurting yourself and others???  just doesnt make sense.

I don't care what what non-smokers think, don't care what anyone thinks, only thoughts.

I enjoy seeing the type of responses
