Mainframe, why do churches pray for sick people to get better, but never amputees to grow their limbs back?

I'm sure people do pray for that happy.png

Cuz sick people get better but amputees aren’t lizards. God didn’t make us like lizards why would we ask Him to grow our limbs back

Yes, but if *GOD* (not chemo and/or our immune system) sometimes heals things like cancer, why not a severed limb?

If He performed miracles all the time like that, showing His power in the world, what would be the point of faith? We'd know; we wouldn't need to believe. God wants us to trust Him.

Why not just the occasional amputee, just like he “cures” the occasional cancer patient?

Also, according to you there’s a POINT to asking people to believe with insufficient evidence (faith)?? What point is that? What’s wrong with knowing?

It brings God more glory when we believe.

On what basis do you say believing in him with insufficient evidence brings him more glory?

The Bible.

Dude, if a amputee prayed to God to heal him, and his leg just miraculously was regenerated, what would you think? Would you believe in God then? Or would you call it some weird evolutionary trait?

What verse does the Bible say believing in god with insufficient evidence brings him glory? You don’t think that’s dumb AF?

To answer YOUR question, I wouldn’t call it an evolutionary trait (that makes no sense). I may or may not call it a miracle. I don’t know, I would have to be in that situation. <— See? That’s how you answer questions.

Believing in anything but God has even more insufficient evidence. What else do you believe in science doesn’t have the answers and can’t provide them

I don’t believe in “anything but god.” Some things I believe in, others I don’t.

Why doesn’t god cure the occasional amputee, just like he “cures” the occasional cancer patient?

I ALREADY TOLD YOU

Because he wants us to have FAITH, not to be SHOWN CONCLUSIVELY.

So god hides himself and punished those who aren’t convinced he exists. Cool story 👍

Hides himself? Have you looked everywhere for God?

well done pointing out the logic behind that, Jared.

God has revealed to me how faith can help do miracles, which are the least of your expectations.

ummmmm no

If you're just going to constantly misrepresent our position, this is hardly going to be worth our time

Literally everywhere? That’s impossible. But yes I have absolutely searched for the truth.

According to you he won’t heal amputees because that would be convincing evidence. You don’t think demanding belief with insufficient evidence is dumb af?

The evidence is hardly insufficient. At least, I (and many, many others) have been convinced.
