And all your fire is focused on number 1. I have 10 more I can send right now, completing 20 verses that support God is not evil. And you will have only attempted to break into one.

Have you all set on agreement that God is not evil, or do you disobey Einstein?

Einstein wasn't christian so you disobey Einstein.

And no, God as it is seen in the bible is evil, more evil than the devil for sure.

First statement: like claiming everyone who supports trump is racist.

Putting words in my mouth already? Eistein was not a christian, that's a fact.

If you are gonna cite an (irrelevant) authority to the discussion, at least be sure he actually agrees with you.

Have I said Einstein is a Christian?

What you are saying to me applies to you too.

Those verses mean God does good things, they don't mean he does only good things unless you think infanticide and the horrendous world we live in are good things in which case I suggest you go and see a psicologist.

At this point I can just say, “You’ll see after death”, but I am using energy here, and I am about to stop to make you face your fates.

No, I never said so but since you began with the "are you going to disobey Einstein?" rhetoric I figured it'd be good to give you a spoon of your own medicine.

And yes, it does apply to me, luckly, I haven't cited the authority of anybody here so no worries for me.

Have you seen after death?

And I am getting a mod to close this thread.

#4 - No religious or political debate or commentary in the regular forums. Religion and politics are important and deeply personal, but Chess.com is a friendly community where we come together around a common love for chess and debating these two topics tend to pull people apart. If you would like to discuss religion or politics, you may do so in many of the private clubs on Chess.com.

God does a lot of weird things. why dies in genesis 17 verse 10-14 he demands circumcision of boys. Why? is god a catholic priest (chess.com probably won't allow the word I wish to put there)?  Obsessed with the southern areas of children.

Only God asks us to revert his own work.

So your experiment to ascertain if a god exists requires you to ALREADY believe that a god exists. Sounds pretty useless, and how reliable is an experiment that *requires* confirmation bias as a feature?

I've asked myself the same exact atheist question before trying it. Proved to be senseless and not getting me anywhere.

Rules are rules, when they are followed, you get a result. I didn't follow the rules, I didn't see my favorable result. I followed the rules, I was revealed the favorable result.

I tried to make a logical fallacy out of it, it didn't get me anywhere and therefore prove to be "useless" as you described.

Compare it to this scenario. Let's say I've lost my mother out at sea in a shipwreck. It seems very improbable that she is living, but I have no proof of her death. But I have to believe that she is still living, so that I can continue searching for her. What's the point of searching for a scientifically-proven-to-be-dead mother? I would just feel more pain. It truly is senseless, isn't it?

The only way to find her dead/alive is to believe that she's still alive so that I could continue my quest of search. The result is what I get after finding her.

The only way to find if God is fake/true is to believe that He EXISTS so that I could continue my quest of search. The result is what I get after finding God. happy.png

There are many verses that indicate BOTH good moral teachings AND atrocious moral teachings. Posting 20 good things doesn’t negate that it contains BOTH.

Einstein did NOT believe in a personal god. And if he did, YES, I would disagree with Einstein.

@MainframeSupertasker, if god wants so badly for everyone to know he exists, why doesn’t he just convince us? Is he not powerful enough to do so?

If people will open their eyes, God has put proof all around us. You yourself is proof of an intelligent Creator. But people have shut their eyes from seeing and their ears from hearing the truth.
