It seems like the mega-mergers and industry consolidations have come back to bite us.  Tyson takes out full page ad to warn about supply chain...Trump orders them to keep going.  Meanwhile, livestock farmers are started to euthanize food animals because the processing plants are shut down.  Which is crazy...but now we live in a country of too-big-to-fail where the people that raise cattle and poultry are no longer capable or equipped to slaughter, butcher, and distribute the meat they produce.  If a mega-plant closes, the logical choice is to cut out the middleman and get that livestock to store shelves the old-fashioned way...but we can't anymore.  It's too big a logistical operation.

Farmers' markets should get more popular...
