Debate about who is the best fast bowler in cricket

Tbh in our country Hasibul Hossain and Monjural Islam are considered legends but they're not good pacers at all

Steve Harmison was unplayable on his day. Bob Willis is a legend and Larwood was lethal. Hard to pick a best. Many were unplayable when they got in the zone and conditions suited. Wazim Akram was scary too but would probably need to pick one of the West Indians. Marshall, Holding, Ambrose etc

First of all if Irish batsmen on their 1st day of international cricket can hit Harmy all over the park he's not good. 2nd of all Willis is dead and I admit he's a great bowler. 3rd of all Larwood bowled mainly at the body which hurts so he's a savage. Wasim Akram can reverse swing the ball and was the commander of the old ball and king of the new ball. And the West Indian pace battery of Ambrose Marshall Garner Croft Walsh Simmons Holding Roberts etc just took apart teams in the 1970s and 1980s. Your choices are pretty nice but I don't really feel Harmy was so good. He isn't that bad he's actually a really scary bowler but if Irish batsmen can hit him so easily around the park he's not so good

Every bowler we can mention has had a bad day. There is not one who had a day to forget. Even Lillee and Thompson bowled some pies

Yeah seen so many times Haynes taking out Lillee Pascoe Imran Akram Snow etc. Haynes is a legend and yes every bowler has a bad day. But wasn't Anderson and Broad better?

Anderson is still playing as is broad. Once they have stopped then both will be contenders. And yet both have experienced being unplayable one day and being carted around the park the next. Anderson was dropped early one as Harmison was much better. But now, certainly history will see Anderson as one of the great bowlers in English conditions
The candidates must be retired as we're talking about the best in history not best in world now. Mine will be Glenn McGrath
