My best with Spreadshot is 1 million 123k. The highest I ever got with anything else is 560k with Octo Tank. So in my experience, Spreadshot is the way to go. The correct build is 00057777

By far the scariest things you'll see as a Spreadshot is Auto Gunners and Factory. Those are the ONLY tanks able to kill you fair and square. Everything else will either need to have you surrounded to kill you or sneak up and use the element of surprise.

Overload is a great class, recommended by many pros. But I must warn you it is really easy to get swarmed when playing the Overload. Whenever you launch your drones at an opponent you are instantly vulnerable. When two rammers orbit you you are unable to kill either of them. It is dificult to kill fast enemies as your drones are not very agile. And many people are good at dodging the drones. The Spreadshot on the other hand offers a decent blanket of protection the instant you point your barrel in that direction, and it spews out so many bullets that avoiding them is near impossible. It's recoil gives you an edge when running away from non spammers, but isn't enough to get in the way of you chasing down your pray. You can show up to a fight and kill both players without even making yourself vulnerable in the process.

If you meant overlord can kill a well designed spreadshot, you might be right, but it is very difficult. The spreadshot's movement speed with recoil enables it to be slightly faster then the Overlord. The second the Overlord takes it's drones away from it's body it becomes extremely vulnerable. If it doesn't attack and just runs, it will inevitably get cornered and killed. If it attacks, the spreashot can out manuver the drones while shooting them, which kills them without the overlord doing any real damage. In the process of destroying the drones however the spreadshot's spread can damage or even kill the defenseless overlord. I have been killed by Overlords, yes. But in most situations (especially when other tanks are there) the Spreadshot will have a massive advantage. My record with Overlord is 392k, which is fine, but nowhere near 1M 123k.
