Nihilism is saying life is meaningless and it doesn’t matter. Optimistic nihilism is saying life doesn’t matter but so what? All humiliation would be forgotten after death.

Yeah that’s the point in optimistic nihilism. because if nothing matters, we might as well be happy and good to each other.

Bro stop saying you make your own meaning. That’s throwing out the nearly all of the human race’s opinion. In the small time period of humanity today in a minority of human population, “you make your own meaning” is believed. America and some of Europe believes this today, but they did not a couple decades ago, and nobody did centuries ago. Scientism has become way too prevalent, and actual philosophy has been rejected. As C.S. Lewis said, “Good philosophy must exist, if only to reject bad philosophy.” Unless you have seriously studied philosophy, don’t go around claiming nihilism is true and spreading that to other people. Heck, the only option in true nihilism is suicide. Nihilism includes a rejection of all values. If you believed this, then there’s no reason at all to tell him it’s true. There’s not even ANY sort of truth in nihilism. Stop reading books only by atheists if you want to get a well rounded opinion. Read some by Muslims, Christians, Deists, Hindus, Buddhists, literally anyone but only atheists. Nihilism is not the only option, and even if it is, so what? There’s no reason why it’s true, even if it is.
