Yes this thread has already been done but no harm in recapping. I like to play GO from time to time. Just social playing nothing spectacular.

Connect Four, although the game has been 'solved' already, as in perfect play, It's still mildly entertaining in comparison with chess.

Don't know if there's a thread on this already so thought I'd start one.
Mine would have to be Settlers of Catan. Very addictive, I play that over on MSN games. Catan is the perfect mix of skill & luck for a social game (in a three player game the best player will win 50-75% of the time but not always) Risk is also in my top 5 despite it's simplistic nature (haven't played since college though), great game to play with a group of close friends (though not with oversensitive types!

Stratego I hate cause I've always sucked at it (used to play with my brother as a kid). Axis & Allies I enjoyed but those games can go on forever. Just got Carcassonne, it was recommend by a friend and I'm hoping it can be a fun two player game my girlfriend and I can play together. Still haven't opened the box yet though.
