But how doesn’t it come through? I can block energy and regular guns and whatnot with my shield, or I can make it pillowy to land! But it CAN block it

The forcefield is basically a circular ball
The portal opens up INSIDE your forcefield so it isn't blocked
Right in front of you, I should say.

But it can’t get through my forcefield as energy to get inside the shield. I can argue this for most of the day
