Fun Word Game #2 - Word Mutation

How to play:

A word is given to start the game. The word that follows has to be identical in spelling except for one or more letters.

Rules:

- no more than 50% of the letters in the word can be changed/mutated. If they are, those letters have to be adjacent to each other.

- all words used should be found in any dictionary of the English language - non-word letter combinations are not allowed

- letters can be added and subtracted, but only one per word

- letters cannot be added/subtracted and replaced in the same turn

- all conjugations are allowed

- abbreviations and acronyms are not allowed

- if a word cannot be followed by another, the "evolution" is finished, and the next one can begin with any new word

- words cannot be repeated within evolutions

- one-word evolutions are not allowed

- an evolution also ends when the original word is used again (legally)

- no one player can make more than one entry before another player replies

- the player who ends an evolution gets to start a new evolution

EXAMPLE:

EVOLUTION I: air - hair - heir - their

EVOLUTION II: mass - mast - mash - rash - crash - cramp ...
