Depends if the position is hard or not.
What kind of rating do you mean? Online or Live? My live chess rating is about 1360. My Online rating is about 1500. As for trying to reach 1000, I sugest you use tactics whenever you can.

Good. I sugest you analyze the position after every move. If you can awnser to online games quickly,you can start a couple of 24 hour games. People lose on time a lot.

So I am trying to reach a 1000 chess score.Im recently at 725 or 726 i dont remember but this forum is for helping me make it there.(and winning games!)Feel free to post! :)
