@Slayerofbishopsandqueens told the guy that wrote the forum "I reccommend you block you" as in you, the writer of this forum. But i think it was because of your response

Thanks genius.

If I never responded, I would never be blocked.

Which is the same thing as being blocked from responding.

I am fully aware that me contributing to this Forum helps Chess.com.

But weigh it against the greater good of passing on my knowledge to the next generation.

Playing face to face is way better, but you are on this site so why not get some practice here?

I played chess in The Arlington Chess Club, founded in 1954.

Time control was 90 minutes for 40 moves + 60 minutes.

They rented a basement of a church. A Go club also rented the same venue on a different day.

But even that is not real chess.

Now I play chess in restaurants, in real venues in real life, the way it was since forever.

We are bringing it back the way it was.

And I play Chinese Chess in Chinese restaurants. The way it was, the way it is supposed to be.

Now people dance on stage. That is not real. People used to dance as a part of everyday life.

long_quach, people don’t think that way anymore. Soda is soda, a tissue is a tissue, etc. No one is going to think of chess as chess.com. Chess is chess, and chess.com is one way to play chess. Going to tournaments and playing USCF rated chess is “chess.” Playing chess on lichess is “chess.” I don’t know who you are trying to fight for to save them from chess.com, but it is just another way to play chess.

Chess.com can ban you right there for

"Advertising the competition."

You will disappear, and soon Chess.com is chess.

doubtful since I wasn’t advertising anything. Still here.

That's where you are wrong.

It is Chess.com who decides who advertise what.

Exactly. I was just talking of how Lichess has better time control and that Chess.com should adopt that, and I was banned.

Story Time, children.

I got banned on Lichess for exactly this.

A topic of a forum.

What super power would you like to have?

People list super powers from comic books.

I said, verbatim:

I am a US citizen. America is a Superpower!

Lichess is based in France.

This is the world we live in.

@long_quach, I think the problem is you are expecting others to do things you are not doing. You are expecting others to understand the things you said that got blocked, yet you are unable to put yourself in others' shoes. You don't realize that people immediately block you instead of asking you to elaborate because most of the people who posts responses like yours are trolls. Also you need to remember that people on a chess site know how to read, write and type. By asking someone to watch Sesame Street, you are contradicting that assumption.

A better response would be, "I think playing battleship face to face is a good way to learn how to read coordinates since that is how I learned it and how you read coordinates is the same in battleship and chess."

Also, I do understand why you think playing chess face to face is better, but more and more people are playing online chess because of its convenience: you do not have to spend time going somewhere and you can play chess with your friends in Vietnam.

As I said, I just realized I might be speaking a foreign language.

There is nothing wrong about being proud of your country! However, you do have to understand that your posts have to be relevant to the topic in the OP, or you can get in trouble. You got banned because it is implied that "super power" in this context means something that no human can do without equipment, such as the ability to fly, super speed, etc. You did not understand this, and you probably did not think that "super power" has two different meanings.
